Lou retired as the Senior Manager, Jeep Advertising for DaimlerChrysler Corporation. Durning his tenure, he developed national event marketing activities for the Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep® brands, and was responsible for the company's diversity event marketing and advertising initiatives. He also is the author of the book “The Cosmic Spider Web: How to Capture Any Customer Through Event Marketing“.
During his 25 year career at DaimlerChrysler, Bitonti created and implemented numerous successful marketing programs that have become automobile industry standards and received national and international recognition. He was the driving force behind programs like Camp Jeep*, a three-day, family oriented ownership gathering, which was noted as one of the largest ownership gatherings of its kind in the world. Thousands of Jeep owners and their families across the United States and around the world have attended Camp Jeep since its inception. Bitonti is considered one of the top event marketers in business today and he frequently lectures at universities and business conferences. He was most recently featured on the cover of Event Marketer magazine and was named one of its "Event Marketing Superstars."
Before joining DaimlerChrysler, Bitonti was an Account Supervisor for Burton and Grey Advertising where he created marketing programs for high-profile companies including Heilemann Brewing, Ford Motor Company, Cadillac Dealers Group, McDonald's, Bonanza Restaurants, ABC-TV, The Detroit Free Press, City National Bank and Real Estate One. |
